Kenneth F Burgess - Manager & Webmaster
Ken Burgess was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin, graduating from Milwaukee Country Day School (now the University School of Milwaukee).
After graduation from Rice University, Ken attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago where he received an MBA in Marketing.
Ken returned to Texas after grad school and started as an Assistant Buyer at Foley's. He eventually graduated to other merchandise positions within Foley's before being appointed the Control Manager at the Sharpstown store. Here he was responsible for Layaway, Ticket Center, Telephone Communications, Security Department and Register Shortage Control until he moved to Harlingen in 1975.
In 2001 Ken returned to Houston and in 2003 he and Jerry Hobby formed what is now known as AnythingInternet.com, offering a full list of Internet development and marketing services. Ken retains a close working relationship with 6 West Associates assisting with projects requiring Internet or website expertise.
Ken served on the Board of the Harbor Playhouse. He was a Board Member, and served as President, of the American Advertising Federation - Corpus Christi Chapter. He was honored with a Silver Medal by the AAF-CC for his lifetime contributions to the advertising industry. Ken was a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Flour Bluff and served as its president twice. He was named Rotarian of the Year in 2002-2003 for Rotary District 5890 (Houston), and continues to be very active in the Rotary Club of Sharpstown where he has served twice as club president.
